SIDELINE is a UK-based contemporary womenswear label that creates thoughtful clothing with subtle, understated details. We are welcoming the SIDELINE AW24 Drop 1 collection in-store and online on July 25th.
Reflecting a commitment to reducing our impact on the earth, SIDELINE pieces are made to last and stand out against the throw-away mentality of fast fashion. Made for everyday wear, yet adorned with special, elevated details against clean silhouettes that are relaxed and feminine, SIDELINE collections are designed to be worn, returned to, and loved.
For AW24 inspiration has been sourced from the season’s natural hues with rich ochre and tobacco tones paired with accents of green that are reminiscent of autumn’s falling leaves. The brand’s favourite designs, such as the Spin Vest, have been reintroduced with subtle updates and edits whilst the Lois Trousers, Dolly Dress and Joan Coat are brand new designs that feature signature SIDELINE details and natural fibre fabric choices.
Versatile enough to be effortlessly paired together for any occasion, these timeless pieces are essential for creating a versatile wardrobe. Each style is designed to fit true to size, drawing inspiration from classic silhouettes like shirts, layerable vests, and long-line coats.
The Dolly Dress is crafted in a beautiful ochre check cotton with a lovely texture to the weave. This style is a take on a classic shirt-dress updated with a unique stand collar design, raglan sleeve and slight gathers into the neck-line. The Dolly dress also features a self-fabric belt so the cress can be worn loose or cinched and concealed side pockets.
A SIDELINE favourite - the reversible Spin Vest is made using 100% wool (not sheepskin so no animals have been killed to make this:) on the outer and 100% cotton twill on the inner (reversible). This style is finished off beautifully with tonal twill binding. The Spin Vest features contrast pockets on the outer and matching pockets on the inner. This style is great worn on its own or over/under a coat in the colder months.
The Joan Coat is crafted in a beautiful 100% wool base in a warm tobacco colour and boucle texture. This style has a lovely collar shape, side pockets and a slight cocoon silhouette. The raglan sleeve is flattering and comfortable. This style also features a beautiful check lining and button front closure.
The Lois Trousers are made from a lovely cotton in a rich tobacco colour-way. This style is a relaxed fit with front pleats and a zipper/hook and bar closure. These trousers are very flattering and look great with tops and shirts tucked in or worn loose. The leg shape is a loose curved taper, the Lois Trousers have slant front pockets and patch back pockets.
Standing out against the nature of fast fashion throw-away pieces, SIDELINE prides itself on ethical and sustainable practices which prioritise ethical manufacturing, fair working conditions and living wages. Each SIDELINE item is crafted in a small factory in Vietnam that focuses on top-notch denim and casual wear and is made with great attention to detail whilst the knitwear and accessories are produced in Scotland by experienced manufacturers using high-quality yarns and traditional machinery.
