Encouraging free and natural play in children, Grapat are a family-run company based in the Pyrenean mountains of Catalunya where they design and handcraft each individual piece. Recognisable for their minimal aesthetic with pops of colour, Grapat wooden toys allow children to play slowly and without time limits for the opportunity to create fantastic, realistic and invented little worlds. Inspired by traditional design, raw wood materials are favoured to bring each Grapat piece to life whilst natural dyes allow the veins of the wood to be seen, finished with coloured waxed and oils that create a high quality, protective sheen.
