The SIDELINE AW23 collection consists of easy-going, layerable vests, jackets, trousers, skirts and dresses with beautiful textures, delicate prints in a rich, autumnal 1970’s-esc colour palette. Wool shearling makes an appearance as a standout alternative to typical wool blends, whilst plaid and print patterns on dresses add extra interest to relaxed silhouettes.

Following a 'made to last' ethos, SIDELINE is always looking to better their practise within design, production and presentation. Having proudly eliminated all single use plastic from their packaging process by using 100% water soluble and marine-safe solutions, SIDELINE's sustainability journey continues each season with reduced waste within their denim (as of 2021 their denim fabric choices are 100% recycled).

Not just attractive and comfortable against the skin, natural fibres such as organic cotton, linen, wool, ramie and hemp often act as the centre point for each new seasonal release. However, SIDELINE are conscious of their impact on the world's natural fibres, and explores the use of recycled and man-made fibres such as recycled cotton, recycled wool, TENCEL™.

Two of their most sought-after designs from previous seasons, SIDELINE wool shearling jackets and vests are coveted for their comfort, easy-going styling and retro touch. The SIDELINE Greta Jacket in Wool Shearling features a curved Peter Pan collar, contrast trims and large circular buttons that together introduce a playful character to a true fashion classic. The cropped length means this jacket isn't too heavy either.

...and if a jacket silhouette isn't your thing, the SIDELINE Taylor Vest in Wool Shearling offers a similar aesthetic to the SIDELINE Greta Jacket but with a simple v-collar and generously sized waist pockets. We'll be pairing ours with a patterned blouse and relaxed trousers during the autumn when an extra layer is needed, but doesn't quite warrant a full-sleeve coat.

Embroidery often makes an appearance within SIDELINE collections, applied using careful attention to detail and decorative flare. Adding a folk-inspired touch to everyday silhouettes such as summer dresses, shirts and blouses, this season repeat embroidery adorns shirts with unique panelling and soft pleat detailing. Suitable for styling in both casual and more formal situations, the SIDELINE Maya Shirt in Cream/Black has beautiful layered sleeves with wrap around embroidery and a hidden placket fastening with adorned on either side.

Referencing SIDELINE's heritage and influences drawn from the textiles and home decor of typically English homes, the scale of new print designs for AW23 add a dainty touch with fine stripes, plaid checks and reimagined 'Ditsy' floral shapes; much like the wallpaper you might find in a country cottage getaway. Presented across established SIDELINE cuts, such as the Mabel Dress with a full length skirt and lightly shaped bodice, whether you wear pieces as they are or add your own unique touch through accessories and layering, relaxed and feminine styling is easily achieved.
