Apolina's AW24 journey started with a trip to California. A visit to the Museum of Western Cinema and the rocky Alabama Hills, known for many classic films, ignited an interest in 1950s Westerns. The collection features patchworks, traditional Western shirts, and fringing, all paying homage to these films and the style of Hollywood's Golden Age, reminiscent of Rita Hayworth in a beautiful embroidered blouse.
Creating an idealised view of prairie life, the collection showcases an earthy, autumn colour scheme, accented by vintage blue. Patchwork and quilting nod to the homemade crafts of earlier times, while floral prints inspired by folk and vintage cinema blend with a jacquard influenced by Welsh blankets, creating a sense of nostalgic comfort typical of a cosy cottage or homestead.

Apolina founder Caroline worked in fashion for over ten years before launching her own label. Inspired by the birth of her two daughters and a desire to create more freely from passion (rather than to meet the fast pace that is common within the women’s fashion industry) she set out to create collections that carry a strong sense of authentic style without the feeling of passing trends - instead focused on longevity and craft.
