Beautiful flower fairies and dolls handmade in Romania by Ambroisius. A collaborative project launched in 1996 between Mrs. Katalin Poszony, the owner of Ambrosius, and the Waldorf School in Cluj-Napoca, eco flower fairies are adorable felted dolls handcrafted from renewable materials such as a wool felt, wool and wood. Replicating certain flowers and fruits, the dolls are not only beautiful decorative additions to the home which are sure to make you smile, they can also be used for educational purposes.
Introduced in early 2022, some of our favourite new characters include the Hanging Bee Boy, Snowdrop Girl and Daffodil Girl. Inspired by Christmas folklore, the Ambrosius Santa Claus, Hanging Snow Crystal Girl and Saint Nicholas are all charming characters that can be bought once but reintroduced and admired every year.
Handmade from scratch, each Ambroisus fairy, doll, girl, bee boy, dwarf and boy is created with love and attention to detail. As one of the few Romanian companies that proudly offers work-at-home opportunities for retired persons, those with disabilities and mothers with young children, from the core of the company to their beautiful creations, everything from Ambroisus is done with care. Always remembering the project's roots, Ambroisus donates a part of their profit to the local Waldorf school and help to support the education of some of the poorer villages in Transylvania.
