Makers of men’s, women’s and kids’ socks, slipper-socks, tights and knitted accessories, Collégien continues to develop their know-how to create the ultimate socks and tights, made of the finest long-staple Egyptian cotton, cashmere, silk and extra-soft lurex.
From the brand’s creation in 1947 to the 1990’s, Collégien was much loved in France, stocked in the best department stores in Paris before being sold to a worldwide audience. A true family founded and owned company, Collégien was established by Robert in Briatexte, South of France in 1947 as a hosiery factory. Together with brother Alain, the pair invented the injection of a soft rubber sole in a sock, resulting in the classic slipper-sock design! In 2007 CEO Olivier Guille and great-grandchild of founder Robert relaunched the brand and restyled the company’s iconic designs with vivid colours and premium comfort, resulting in collections of modern and relevant accessories that are soft, durable, practical and durable.
Passionate about protecting the planet and working in a sustainable way, Collégien has introduced a variety of earth-conscious projects, resulting in planet-friendly slipper-socks knitted from premium recycled cotton yarns that are certified by Global Recycled Standard. Additionally, all Collégien socks, tights and accessories are dyed with non-toxic dyes, with the waste water from their production processes which are consciously dealt with in their own treatment plant.
