Women's Hand Knitted Ribbed Fingerless Mitts - Pistachio
Wonderfully soft mulesing-free merino wool ribbed fingerless mittens for adults
These mittens are hand knitted and finished by women employed by the KOCO (knit one change one) initiative in rural southern India. The women are employed, and are taught the art of handknitting as well as English and maths. The manner of employment, rather than only being employed when there is work available, means that these women can gain true financial independence, which in turn, changes lives.
Each pair of mittens comes with a swing tag, that has a QR code on it. This QR code, when scanned will allow you to 'meet' the lady who knitted the exact mittens in your hands!
One size, will comfortably fit most as the ribbing is nice and flexible!
Care instructions:
Cold hand wash only, and only wash when really necessary. DO NOT stretch when wet, and lay flat to dry with the ribs arranged snugly together.
