Angulus
With a legacy that dates back to 1904, Angulus footwear was first established by Willy Madsen’s father whose cobbler shop on Nørrebrogade in Copenhagen, Denmark was opened after he gave up his job as a teacher to become a shoemaker. Shocked at the Danish footwear industry and the commonly pointed shape of children’s shoes of the time, in response to his disagreement he developed new foot-formed shoes in collaboration with doctors and physiotherapists. As the company’s established name continued to strengthen, international travel and the sourcing of fine leathers from Europe was introduced during the 1950’s, helping to inject Italian flare into the footwear designs; a design point that continues to shine through into each contemporary collection.
