Expressing the joyful moments in life in hope of pieces in turn encouraging the same into your own home, Emma Alviti / Little Em offers small batch ranges of simple and playful art prints presented across cards and children’s prints, as well as illustrated home and lifestyle products. Founded, run and designed by Emma Alviti, a textile designer living in Manchester, UK, Little Em was established from her previous work as a wallpaper designer for many years before taking the jump to go self employed. Focusing on colour palettes that children and parents will both love, which fit perfectly into stylish nurseries and children’s interiors, the variety of prints, illustrations and decorative artwork reflect inspirations taken from nature and childhood memories of the outdoors, including time Emma spent exploring near her childhood home on a farm in Shropshire surrounded by a family of makers. Being environmentally conscious is a key element to Emma Alviti / Little Em, and within the business reducing the environmental impact is hugely important. For each card recycled/FSC high quality paper is used and for homewares natural fibres are used where possible, either linen or cotton, avoiding the use of synthetic fabrics across each collection. Each item is designed by Emma and made in Britain, to not only celebrate British design but to also keep the carbon footprint of the products low. Any offcut fabrics are made into smaller textile products.
