Má + Lin (pronounced ma-lain) is a clothing brand obsessed with linen. Celebrating the world’s most ancient and sustainable fabric, founder Yue is on a mission to make linen the new black, starting with French-inspired blouses. Releasing each carefully considered collection at a time that reflects the slow pace of the brand, every blouse has been ethically crafted in Portugal using 100% certified European linen.
Having worked as a fashion buyer in Paris and London for over a decade, Yue saw first-hand the excess consumption and unnecessary waste created by the fashion industry, often without any transparency. As the world cries out for a slower lifestyle, zero waste design and solutions to global supply chain issues, Má + Lin endeavours to play a part in this revolution.
Launched in London during the COVID-19 pandemic, the result is beautiful seasonless Má + Lin designs, created without traditional fashion seasons and made to be loved last through the changing seasons. Reflecting Yue’s disappointments of the traditional fashion industry, complete transparency and traceability are available for every Má + Lin supply garment; from the linen flax cultivation in France and yarn spinning in Poland to Belgium fabric weaving, Portuguese construction and UK shipment.
