New spring 2023 collections are here, in-store & online!
In almost a month's time Spring Equinox will mark the start of the new season in the UK. We are really looking forward to spending more time outside, pottering about the garden on the weekends and visiting nearby parks.
Tying in nicely with new arrivals from Liewood, Turtledove, Konges Sløjd and The Simple Folk, our imaginations have been given extra encouragement whilst we have been unboxing lighter fabrics, gardening tools for children and beautiful woven baskets for picnics....and much more!
We have picked a selection of new items that will complement three of our favourite springtime activities - gardening, park walks and picnics. As always, each and every item has been chosen specifically for its beautiful aesthetic, use of sustainable materials, suitability for use or wear by little ones (with some women's pieces in there too, of course) and high quality finishes.
5. Hello Bugs, What Do You Do? - Loes Botman - Floris Books
6. Moira Bucket - Riverside/Sandy - Liewood
6. Moira Bucket - Riverside/Sandy - Liewood
We also recommend a previous Book of the Week 'The Little Gardener - Julie A. Cerny' which is a part how-to teaching guide, part inspiration and fully beautiful and engaging.
When little ones help out with gardening it is always interesting! With plenty to explore and learn, more often than not for us it ends in mucky hands and knees, not too many plants planted but lots of fun.
Liewood has introduced a new selection of gardening tools suitable for children (or for use at the beach if they would prefer) and we like to make the most of rainwear sets by using waterproof all-in-ones, trousers and jackets that can be easily cleaned.
1. Marvel XP Cruiser - Iris - Bobux
2. Riga Cardigan - Taupe - Donsje
3. Women's Long Sleeve Cotton/Modal Tee Shirt - White Sage - MarMar Copenhagen
4. Women's Primus Trail II FG - Deep Sea Blue - Vivobarefoot
5. Basic Baby Bonnet - Jardin Rouge - Basic Baby Bonnet - Jardin Rouge
6. Women's Stockholm Wool/Cashmere Headband - Med Grey Mel - MP Denmark
Inspired by our own Totnes guide, we love returning to our favourite parks each season to watch how the plants and animals change. Whether it is a quick walk on a lunch break or a longer weekend walk with the kids, a stroll is often accompanied by a bit of cake and a cup of coffee!
1. Rattan Half Moon Basket - Olly Ella
2. Silicone Rocket Straw Set, 4 Pack - Quarry Blue Mix - Konges Sløjd
3. The Kimono Playsuit - Sage - The Simple Folk
4. 3 Pack Muslin Cloths - Fleur De Glace - Konges Sløjd
5. Andrea Bib - 2 pack - Tuscany Rose - Liewood
6. Colin Junior Cutlery - Whale Blue - Konges Sløjd
The practical option when heading to the beach or further away from home for the day, our picnic bag is always stocked with reusable cutlery and cloths, which we think Liewood and Konges Sløjd do best! Perhaps something to think about as the weather continues to get warmer, anything we buy with spring picnics in mind we will continue to keep handy for the summertime.
