One size fits all.
The Hatchnails Hat is a limited-edition design crafted with care and tradition. Made from the wool of the Coloured Ryeland Flock, which graze by the Erme Estuary overlooking Mothecombe Beach.
Inspired by the Gansy traditions of coastal fishing knitwear, the intricate cable stitch symbolises “safe passage,” while the moss stitch reflects the texture of carrageen moss seaweed, representing optimism for a “bountiful harvest.” Made from Coloured Ryeland wool which is spun into yarn at the Natural Fibre Company in Cornwall. It is then knitted in the historic textile heartlands of the Midlands.
A hat which is soft enough to wear next to the skin for all-day comfort and warm enough to shield against chilly coastal breezes. Sustainable, slow fashion.
