Women's Hand Knitted Ribbed Snood - Pistachio
Wonderfully soft mulesing-free merino wool ribbed snood. One size
These snoods are hand knitted and finished by women employed by the KOCO (knit one change one) initiative in rural southern India. The women are employed, and are taught the art of handknitting as well as English and maths. The manner of employment, rather than only being employed when there is work available, means that these women can gain true financial independence, which in turn, changes lives.
Each snood comes with a swing tag, that has a QR code on it. This QR code, when scanned will allow you to 'meet' the lady who knitted the exact snood in your hands!
The snood has horizontal ribbing across the main body to give it a slouchy, comfortable feel. Whilst there are vertical ribs at the top hem to allow the snood to also function as a hood when it's super cold! The vertical ribs will frame the face and keep the hood in place.
Care instructions:
Cold hand wash only, and only wash when really necessary. DO NOT stretch when wet, and lay flat to dry with the ribs arranged snugly together.
